ON ICE CAREER HIGHLIGHTS


Tyson Nash, St. Louis BluesTyson Nash played his junior career with the Kamloops Blazers where he was part of the team which won three Memorial Cups. He is one of only three players to have won three Memorial Cups with the same team (Ryan Huska and Darcy Tucker are the others).

 

Tyson spent his first five seasons in the NHL with the St. Louis Blues, primarily in the role of a pest, specializing in drawing penalties from members of opposing teams. He spent the next two seasons with the Phoenix Coyotes. He was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs from the Coyotes for Mikael Tellqvist and a 4th round draft pick on November 28, 2006.


On November 22, 2007, he signed with the Nippon Paper Cranes in Japan. The Cranes finished the season in second place, behind the Oji Eagles.

RADIO CAREER HIGHLIGHTS


Tyson Nash, St. Louis BluesAfter his playing career, Nash was hired as the Phoenix Coyotes' radio color analyst in 2008, where he joined the Coyotes' radio play-by-play announcer Bob Heethuis in the broadcast booth.

GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Phoenix Coyotes President and Chief Operating Officer Douglas Moss announced today that former Coyotes right wing Tyson Nash has been hired as the team’s new radio color analyst. Nash will join Bob Heethuis, who enters his fourth season as the Coyotes’ radio play-by-play announcer, in the broadcast booth.

“We are thrilled to add Tyson to our radio broadcast team,” said Moss. “Tyson was a fan favorite during his time as a member of the Coyotes for his energetic style of play and we are excited to hear him bring that same passion and enthusiasm to the broadcast booth. In addition, his wealth of hockey knowledge and experience should help him provide entertaining insights for listeners throughout the season.”

 

 

TELEVISION CAREER HIGHLIGHTS


Tyson Nash, St. Louis BluesIn 2020-2021, Tyson Nash will be entering his eleventh season with the Coyotes as the team’s TV color analyst after serving as a radio color analyst since September 2008.

 

A former Coyotes player, Nash will once again team up this season with play-by-play announcer Matt McConnell in the television booth. Both Nash and McConnell agreed to multi-year contracts to be play by play announcer and analyst, while Bob Heethuis and Paul Bissonnette will continue to be the voices of the team on KMVP, 98.7 Arizona's Sports Station.

 

Fox Sports Arizona featured Nash in a segment in 2011 entitled "Snapshot: Tyson Nash", which took a look at the playing and TV career of the Phoenix Coyotes color analyst and former NHLer.
